Five Town Basketball is a nonprofit athletic association that supports youth basketball (K-12) within the towns of Hope, Appleton, Lincolnville, Rockport and Camden. Its mission is educating, training, coaching and rendering assistance to youth basketball, through clinics, leagues, games and tournaments within the five towns.
A partial list of the work we are doing:
Support travel teams at the grade school level
Organize and support High School travel teams
Funding for our High School players to attend various Tournaments
High School Team in basketball leagues (financial support)
Hosting the Camden Hills Summer Hoopfest
Providing financial support to our athletes for summer camps
Organize the youth night at the Varsity games |
News[May 22 2013] HS Girls Team camp at USMNext week registrations will go up for the USM team camp that Coach Messer will be taking the girls to June 28-30th. Team registration is paid for by FTBB through the proceeds of the Summer tournament.
-Housing and meal packages costs are $100 per individual.
Registration will be tiered on a first come first serve basis. Coach Messer will be taking 12 girls to the camp:
-Last years Varsity and JV players May 22nd to June 2nd
-Last years Freshman team player June 2nd to the 9th
any slots remaining will be open to incoming Freshman after the 9th [May 22 2013] SUMMER BASKETBALL CAMPSMarty and Jeff will each be holding Windjammer camps this summer.

[Feb 16 2013] Chills girls win quarterfinal gameThe Camden Hills girls won their quarter final game vs Oceanside 54-39 on Friday night at the Bangor Auditorium. C-Hills the #7 seed beat the #2 Rockland Mariners to advance to the semifinals Wed at the auditorium. Oceanside had beaten the Jammers twice this season the last one just a week ago with a 30 point walloping on the Camden Hills girls. But our Jammers saved their best game for last with great defense, ball security (a season low 12 turnovers) and great post play. Congratulations girls see you on Wednesday. This is open to all youth coaches in the Windjammer program, Busline coaches or travel team coaches from the five towns. There is no fee or registration for this event. A vareity of coaches and high school players will be working with our youth basketball players on basic skills. Go to the skill clinics page for a schedule. [Feb 15 2012] 2012 HIGH SCHOOL PLAYOFF ACTIONThe Camden Hills Girls the #3 seed in Eastern Class B play their first playoff game at 8 PM Friday February 17th at the Bangor Auditorium. C-H will play Old Town who beat Hermon in a prelim game Tuesday night.
The C-Hills boys defeated Washinton Academy 69-50 Wednesday night in a prelim game at home earning the right to face unbeaten MDI at 3PM on Saturday February 18th at the Bangor Auditorium.

Though C-H and Oceanside were tied for records and in the prelim index C-H was just ahead in the tournament index 81.5 to 76.1.

Jordan 13 shy of the mark entering the game, broke it on the first of two free throws with 1:48 left in the third quarter. She is the first junior in Camden Hills or C-R history to break 1,000. [Jan 31 2012] 7/8 Travel Practice Schedule[Jan 30 2012] Registration Open for 7-8 Girls TravelRegistrations are now open for the 15 girls selected at the LCS gym on Sunday 1-29-12. Click on "Travel Teams" to enter registration. Click on "How to Register" for simple instructions. At checkout, we will collect and securely store your banking information for a potential charge of $40 for non-returned uniforms at the end of the season. [Jan 13 2012] Tryout registration now open for Girls 7-8th grade and JV teamsGirls JV and 7-8th grade travel teams. There is no fee for the tryout registration. Once teams are selected players making the cut will have 4 days to register. To be eligible at the tryouts all players must be registered.

Time TBD [Jan 11 2012] Camden Hills JV AAU/travel teamTryouts for the Camden Hills JV AAU/travel team will be during tournament week in February- Jay Carlsen will be coaching the girls though early April. We anticipate 2 practices a week then tournaments most weekends. Registration will be around $100. For any girls that are pulled up to varsity for tournament week we will assume they will have spots on the team.
Registrations on this site will start the week of 1/16/12 [Dec 18 2011] 2012 Camden Hills 7th-8th Grade Travel TeamFive Town Basketball will be sponsoring a 7th-8th grade travel team again this year. The team will be coached by Juan Alcala of Lincolnville. Tryouts will be January 29th from 3:00 to 4:30 at the LCS gymnasium. Registration information will be posted soon with signups going through January for the tryouts and team. See our travel team section for more information as it becomes available. [Nov 18 2011] 3-4 grade skills clinic at LCS with Grant LippmanGrant Lippman a Camden Hills alumni and member of 2 gold ball Boys basketball teams will be holding 4 skills clinic for 3-5 grade boys and girls on Sundays at the LCS gym. The sessions Jan 8,15 and 29th will be from 1:30 to 3:00 and the 22nd from 4:30 to 6:00.
The cost for the 4 clinics will be $20. [Nov 18 2011] 7-8 Girls Open Gym starting December 4thThere will be an open gym/skills clinic for 7-8th grade girls starting Dec 4th at the LCS. 3:00 to 4:30 every Sunday through January(except Christmas).
For Dec. 4th Jay Carlsen will lead skills drills for the first half hour then scrimmages to follow. We are working on a more comprehensive list of guest coaches to come in and work with the girls. [Nov 12 2011] Youth Night at Camden Hills gymFriday December 30th, 2011. FTBB and the YMCA will be sponsoring a youth night at the Camden Hills gym during the Camden Hills vs Maranacook girls and boys varsity basketball games.
5-6 Grade boys will play at halftime of the Varsity boys game. 5:30 start time
Pizza Party between games for all players and coaches
All players will be introduced enmasse and do a run/dribble around the court before the girls game.
